Things to Keep in Your Car in the Winter

During the winter months you never know what’s going to happen while traveling, finding yourself in a ditch, an accident or just stuck in the road in a blizzard. None of them are any good. I have for many years have kept certain things in my vehicle to be prepared for the worst. You never know how long it’s going to be before help will arrive, in some areas it could be hours and in others it could be days. So being prepared will make that unfortunate event just a little less stressful. I always keep a blanket in my vehicle it can be folded up and tucked away in the back, an extra pair of the warmest mittens you can find, I keep a pair of fur and wool mittens, a very warm hat that covers your ears, I prefer a mad bomber hat, there the warmest hat I have ever found it keeps your head, ears, cheeks, and chin warm. I also keep and extra jacket and snow pants and a pair of warm boots as well. Also keeping some sort of non-perishable snacks as well, like granola bars or trail mix. You can always eat snow for water. Keeping a flashlight is always handy as well. Ladies I know we always want to look cute, but I have found that there are very few things that are cute that will keep you warm. So, keep in mind if it’s ugly and bulky it’s probably going to be warm. Make sure you have extras if you’re traveling with passengers. You can put all these things in a bag and store it in the back of your vehicle. If you find yourself in any of these situations you will know that you will be able to stay warm. Stay safe warm this winter season.
